How it works

Everything you need in one minute

Skim it, or let Malcom walk you through it instead.

Malcom

Malcom

Alright, here it is in one minute. Two games: Receipts, where there's one right answer and I can prove it, and The Room Has Spoken, where the majority is the answer — so read the room, not the textbook. Answer fast, keep your streak alive, and the scoreboard settles everything. Pick your character, mix your categories, play solo or pull the whole room in with a code. That's it. Are you Black or are you Black Black? Let's find out.

Malcom is quiet

Malcom reads this summary out loud — subtitles stay on screen either way.

Chapter 1

The whole idea

You may know some Black culture… but do you know it Black Black? You answer, the room answers, and the scoreboard settles it. This is a culture game, not an identity test. Nobody's card is actually getting pulled.

Chapter 2

Check the Receipts

There is one right answer and it can be proven. Answer fast and right — speed and streaks both pay. After the reveal you get the receipt: the fact behind the answer.

Chapter 3

The Culture Has Spoken

No right answer here. You're trying to match what the room picked. Being technically correct and alone gets you nothing but a story to tell.

Chapter 4

Scoring

Correct answers score, faster answers score more, and consecutive hits build a streak multiplier. Majority rounds pay for agreeing with the room. Your final percentage lands you in a tier — from Card Under Review all the way to Certified Black Black.

Chapter 5

Your character

Pick who you are at the table from the cast. Your character reacts on the scoreboard, in the lobby and on the reveal — so everybody can see how that answer landed.

Chapter 6

Categories

Build the night: tap category tiles, drill into subcategories, set how much of the game each one takes, rule things out, then save the mix so you can run it again.

Chapter 7

Malcom, your host

Malcom reads cards, reacts to the room and keeps score talk moving. Turn him all the way up, down to card reading only, or off entirely — the game plays the same.

Chapter 8

How to play together

Host a room and share the code or QR, join with a code on your own phone, or play solo to practice. No account needed to sit down.
